The yankees are definately not going to the world series, so sorry about that dude but anyways... Thw White Sox look pretty good again this year from the AL, And I hate to say it because I'm a Braves fan, but the Mets because they are playing some of the best ball in the NL, them or the Cardinals. But I would go with the Mets in that matchup.

The Detroit Tigers will win it, hands down. They are darn near unbeatable right now, and they can only get better.
They have a strong lineup, starting at Curtis Granderson, and ending at Brandon Inge, with names like Pudge Rodriquez, Maglio Ordonez, Carlos Guillen, and Chris Shelton along with those two. Nearly every single starting position player has a .280 batting average or better. Another great thing about this amazing lineup is any of their players can come through in the clutch at any time. Take Craig Monroe's grand slam against the White Sox for an example. To be simple, their lineup is stacked, without that much of a budget.
They have an amazing rotation of starting pitchers, which is why they are playing so effectively. Featuring Kenny Rogers, Jeremy Bonderman, and Rookie phenom Justin Verlander, this rotation is almost unbeatable. Rogers has really proved he is not over the hill this year, having over 10 wins by the all-star break and an all-star selection. This season he has proved that he still has what it takes to be a big time starter in Detroit for a couple more seasons. Jeremy Bonderman is having a breakout season this year, also with 10 wins by the all-star break. Justing Verlander is one of their most effective starters. With his ability to gas the ball in at 100 MPH, he intimidates hitters and gets them out with his off speed pitches.
They have an excellent set-up closer combo as well. Zumaya is another pitcher on their staff with a 100 MPH fastball and is effective more often than not. Jones, the closer, is also very effective. He has less than 9 blown saves this year.
They also have an excellent fielding team. Curtis Granderson has about 1 error this entire season, Pudge Rodriguez has a ton of gold gloves, and Kenny Rogers is one of the most solid fielding pitchers in the entire game today.
They do have one setback this year though: their youth. But with the way they are playing right now, it looks to me like they will overcome it. If they get Alfonso Soriano, they will be even closer to being unbeatable. They will get to the series, and demolish whatever team is against them. The only tough part will be the ALCS, but they will still win.

Possibly the Mets and Tigers or Mets and Red Sox or Mets and White Sox or Cardinals and Tigers or Cardinals and Red Sox or Cardinals and White Sox. Take your pick. I do believe that any teams from the AL west or NL west probably won't be there and whom ever comes out of the wild card in the NL won't be there either. So sad for my Reds, unless the Reds play the Cards in the playoffs, then they have a shot at the NL Championship, but will probably lose there against the Mets.
