How do you keep your Chuck Taylors in tact the longest? I've got a pair that I've had for about 3 years old that are incredibly holey. So how do I keep them looking new?

Everybody's saying "get new ones... they aren't that expensive".

Here, though, they cost like $40-$50... WAY more than I can be spending every time I need new shoes. So I'm going with patch them with cool fabric. They won't look new exactly, but hey- custom chucks!

patch them in cool designs or just leave them and when someone says ew your shoes are all holey just say they've been with me awhile and they're comfy so screw you! unless they're incredibly holey then just go buy new ones but i like my chucks to be scruffy and worn out because they make me feel comfy in them.

They are inexpensive, so buy more than one pair at a time and alternate them.

time to break down and buy new. if you've got a favorite, buy several pair when you find them, for whatever reason they're not that easy to find. good luck!!
