When my son was born he threw up everything that he ate. He lost so much weight that he looked like a skeleton. I took him to the hospital constantly and he had reflux.
He finally outgrew it at about 10 months old and is now a very strong, healthy man.

If your child starts doing it constantly then you need to worry but if he is just doing it once in awhile then it should be ok.
Talk to your pediatrician just to be on the safe side.

I would never trust the answers of people on the internet when it comes to the health of my child.
Now getting moral support from here is another story.

I have two kids. One has only thrown up 3 times in her life (all three have been from car sickness due to my husbands driving), and the other spit up non-stop for months when he was a baby. Number 2 eventually outgrew it. I breastfed him for seven months (he chose to stop) and he spit up the breast milk. When I switched him to formula, he spit up more. I finally found one formula he could keep down, and believe it or not it was the powdered, Wal Mart, Parent's Choice brand.
I will say that although he spit up (a lot) he has always been very strong, healthy, and happy. Bottom line, if it's not hurting him, then you should just carry a towel and a change of clothes for each of you.
Always keep your pediatrician informed. He/she should be able to spot something out of the ordinary.

I guess my first question is, (are you feeding your baby a cereal mix with formula)? If so, hold back on the cereal mix for another month or two, then reintroduce it. If your feeding your baby straight formula, try and give the baby small quantities at a time, and always burp the baby afterwards. My suggestion to you, about 4-5 ounces per feeding.

First of all congratulations, I also have a 8 month old baby, a boy. Second your baby doesn't really needs water. Maybe she reacts like she does because she can't tolerates the food, or maybe she is not ready for solids. I'm not a Doctor so my advice for you is to go to your pediatrician.

Good luck and God bless you both.

Is she growing normally? Many babies swallow air while feeding and then urp out food with the gas.My oldest daughter tossed up after every feeding for months and it looked awful and s elled worse but she gained weight just fine. Unless she stops gaining weight, or the throwing up is after every single feeding it is not serious. If she vomits after every feeding, she may have food allergies or lactose intolerence.

This is mostly normal...don't worry. If it keeps up for more than a year, then consult your pediatrician for acid reflux which can be either outgrown or treated. My son's baby daughter had acid reflux which she outgrew in a few months. All three of my children did this....usually from overeating...lol.....really. Don't worry that much. It IS normal....My personal advice is..don't give her water afterwards.....that just makes it worse...ew.

Were you sick recently?
If so, she may have caught
one of the germs you had
when you were sick.

She may also be allergic to
the formula you're giving her.

Try talking to the pediatrician.
That should help.
