I don't care for him either way. What I mean is I don't like him or dislike him.

absolutely not- he'd have set up a more "heroic" place to hear the news for the first time...not in a kindergarten where Michael Moore could use it to mock him...

I don't like Bush but I don't believe he knew about 9/11 in advance.

Both Bush and his National Security Advisor, Condolezza Rice were warned in early 2001 by the CIA that terrorists were planning to attack buildings in the USA using commercial aircraft.

This is a question that will dog Bush like the Pearl Harbor question dogged FDR.

I would not want to live in a country that needlessly sacrifices soldier and civilian lives to promote a war-mongering agenda.

no i dont believe he did. bc he was in a classroom visiting when they happened which def is not definitive proof. but it is logical that he didnt know. as soon as he heard he touched base w/his military advisors went to NORAD and over saw everything for himself. the reports he is given in daily briefings have priority status levels. the one condi had wasnt a high priority by the CIA

as for the CIA directors they actually had as much as 8months advance warnings of ppl taking flight school training. yet they werent applying for, or actively interested in job placement. and there was a buzz of terrorist activity plottings that the intelligence community downgraded or simply dismissed w/o adivising others in NSA chain of command. one was even awarded for his acts after the fact instead of being tried for high treason.

clinton/gore were overheard saying if "only" this happened during their admin Gore wouldve have won the presidency hands down.

No matter how much you (or I) dislike Bush, I don't think there's any way you can seriously think that he would not have stopped a major terrorist attack if he had the chance.

I really doubt it, but nothing would surprise me anymore. How many years did it take for the government to admit we knew Pearl Harbor was gonna get bombed before it happened?

He knew that an attack on the World Trade Center would happen sooner or later. I don't think he knew when it would happen.
