Mine hurt when they were doing the outline, but I got it over bone (my spine and my hip bones - it's in the small of my back), but once the guy started shading it, it actually kind of tickled. My husband got his on his bicep, and he said it didn't hurt at all, just stung a little.

The wrist (if it is the inside) will hurt less than the back.

Of course there will be a certain amount of pain involved, you are having anywhere from 3-7 needles jamming you in the skin thousands of times per second for up to hours at a time.

I got a tat on the small of my back 6 years ago as my first tattoo and it hurt less than the one on my hip, but I was able to fall asleep during the tat on my ankle (on the bone) so it all depends on how YOUR body feels pain.

Also make sure to eat abut an hour before you go so that you don't have a drop in bloodsugar. If you are nervous you will rpduce a lot of adrenaline and can get dizzy if you haven't eaten.

This really is a personal question. Everyone who answers is going to tell you something different. For instance, when I got one on my collar bone, I fell asleep. Didn't hurt a bit, even though it was on bone. Others will tell you that tattoos on bone hurts the most. Like others have said though, the pain has a lot to do with your personal pain tolerance, where it is placed on your body, if you are overweight (A little extra cushioning helps out a bit!lol) and the pressure the artist is putting on the skin. A few artists push too hard when it is not necessary. All of these things are factors.
Good Luck!

Mine really didn't I have 5 but it would depend on the person...I have heard ppl say that the lower back was the worst place to get one though....but if you have a high tolerance I say go for it.

Depends on where you get it. Generally the thinner the skin or the less fat you have in an area is where it hurts more. Mine hurt a little but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't deal with it.

It depends on where you get it. I have one on my lower hip and it hurt until I relaxed. Then the needle can penetrate easier then when the muscles are tight/clenched. After a little while, it didn't hurt at all.

It depends...from what I've heard. On fleshy areas of your body it doesn't hurt too badly. But if your getting it put on a bony area it can be quite painfull. At least that's what I've been told. I'm about to find out.

It really depends on your tollorance of pain and the location of the tatoo.
