i have just switched over to a mac after using a PC for 12 years, and i have never been this happy with a computer in my life. i cant stand to use a PC any more, with all of the viruses, crashes, and updates it is sickening. Now that Intel macs can run windows and mac OS how can it get any better? macs don't get viruses and you never have to reboot. ask any PC to mac user what they think of a mac, i guarantee they all say they enjoy macs more.

The best thing out there are
Three reasons are:
1) Most programs are made for PCs and even though mac will run on windows that's not enough
2) If you spend 3,300 on a mac you could of gotten a dell with double the space and speed
3) More parts are made for PCs so upgrade parts are cheaper
and mac users are haters they now that not that many people use macs and that people prefer PCs and they try saying PCs get more viruses and if they were smart they would now that you protect yourself yourself with an anti-virus the chances of you getting one is very low and another thing people that do get them are doing things they shouldn't or just don't know what they're doing and if you have a Mac by now good luck
don't get me wrong if someone gave me a mac id use it but just because they are all shiny and have all this advertising doesn't mean they make the best computes

Get a Mac.
Soon all the uninformed will be here blathering about how Macs are only for graphics or slow or whatever -- but it's not true. The new Macs can run windows AND OSX (although I don't know why anyone would run that buggy virus prone crap). Every useful piece of software is made for Macs. If you're a gamefaeg, you might want a PC. But you're already lame if you're a gamefaeg.
Macs lose documents? What the hell does that mean? I've been a Mac user for 20+ years and have never "lost a document".

A PC is your best option purely because the majority of users are PC users and therefore software and support are mostly aimed at the PC market
The downside is that PC has a lot more virus's written for them.
If you a wanting to a machine for graphics or design based programs a mac may be your best bet. But for general web surfing and home office type applications again i would recommend a PC.

PC. Macs lose documents too easily. PCs hold your information better.

Whatever you are used to. If you are used to working with PCs, stick to PCs. If you mostly work with Macs, stick with Macs. Switching will drive you crazy. At best, you'll grit your teeth for a week and get over it. At worst, you'll grit your teeth until you have none left.

In a recent article I read in CPU magazine, they installed Windows XP in a Dual-boot setup on an intel-based Mac, then did some benchmarks on both systems.
XP ended up being faster, so I vote XP. :-D

it actually depends on your lifestyle...i mean, if you're the type who makes documents and write stuff, you're better off with a PC. but if you're the artistic one and makes graphics and stuff, you might need a Mac...
