Roman Holiday - a romance, comedy, drama
Princess Anne is touring Rome, and decides to get 'out and about' away from her normal life. She meets with an American reporter and his photographer, who show her the sites. The reporter is initially more interested in a story than the Princess, but begins to fall for Her Highness...
Princess Anne embarks on a highly publicized tour of European capitals. When she and her royal entourage arrive in Rome, she begins to rebel against her restricted, regimented schedule. One night Anne sneaks out of her room, hops into the back of a delivery truck and escapes her luxurious confinement. However, a sedative she was forced to take earlier starts to take effect, and the princess is soon fast asleep on a public bench. She is found by Joe Bradley, an American newspaper reporter stationed in Rome. He takes her back to his apartment. The next morning Joe dashes off to cover the Princess Anne press conference, unaware that she is sleeping on his couch! Once he realizes his good fortune, Joe promises his editor an exclusive interview with the princess.

My favorite movie of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird. It's about a small town in the 50's, a black man is accused of raping a white woman. Of course, he didn't do it, but she has accused him, and she is white, so the facts are irrelevant. Gregory Peck plays a truly great man - the lawyer who represents the accused. The story is told from the perspective of his daughter - through the eyes of a child, as it were. It's a beautiful story, told so well it brings tears to my eyes every time, no matter how often I see it. There are various side stories, subplots, but they all weave together beautifully and create one perfect story.
The original Twelve Angry Men starring Henry Fonda is a close second - but can't really hold a candle to Mockingbird.
Twelve Angry Men is a character sketch about a jury deciding a court case. Eleven of the men are ready to vote guilty as soon as they enter the jury room, but one holds out, makes them think, discuss - find out who they are while they uncover the prejudices within them that made them so sure the boy was guilty. It's a brilliant piece of work - masterful.
Both of those movies are absolute works of art and everyone should see them - more than once.

Currently, it is "THE GREAT ESCAPE" w/Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, David McCallum...
It is about a POW camp for air force officers (Mostly RAF) in Germany called "Stalag Luft III", during WW2, where the biggest mass escape of POWs happened. The germans put all their worst escape artists in it, and in doing so formed the "X organization", the best escape team in history! It is very accurate, and funny!
It is so cool! I love True stories like this because it really happened-if it isn't true it isn't very cool because anyone can just make something up, it isn't amazing, someone just made it all up. But in this, it REALLY happened, people actually did do that! No one had to make it up or anything, it is real! I mean, the characters are mostly composites and the motorcycle part is made up, but otherwise it is totally true!! You should read the book that it is based on (by Paul Brickhill) it's even better than the movie, it's really awesome!
BTW my fav. character is David Mccallum as Ashley-Pitt "Dispersal", although McQueen's part (as Hilts the cooler king) is cool too. I like basicly all the characters alot though, except the Gestapo guys are disturbing.

The Devil Wears Prada...
Meryl Streep tears up the landscape as demanding fashion editor, Miranda Priestley, of "Runway" magazine. She is a terror to everyone who is around her as is quickly depicted in the opening scenes of the movie. Her first assistant (Emily Blunt) strives to please her and tries to emulate her, but one can sense that she is not quite as hard as she tries to put on. Into this mix comes a young woman (Anne Hathaway) who knows nothing of the fashion industry, has never read the magazine, and doesn't know who Miranda Priestley is. She only sees this as a stepping stone to another journalism position. Showing no fashion sense and immediately scorned by everyone, Miranda nonetheless hires her as the second assistant. When Miranda demands that she obtain the next unpublished Harry Potter manuscript, you can sense that she is trying to force her to quit, but it makes the young woman dig in to please her boss. With the help of one of the magazine's fashion editors (Stanley Tucci), she gets a complete makeover and a new security. However, with her new appearance and the demands placed on her, she starts to lose her friends, family and her live-in boy friend (Adrian Grenier). As she is whisked away to Paris with Miranda and faces all of the glamor that could be hers, including a flashy if not artificial freelance journalist (Simon Baker), she is forced to make the decision of where she wants to be in her life. It is obvious that the film would like to make Anne Hathaway into a young Audrey Hepburn

I loved Pay it foward. It starred Hayley Joel Osment. I think that is his name. It was about his project from school and doing something for someone and not telling them or asking for anything back but for the next person to "Pay it foward.." Good Luck in the Air Force .
