Basically it just means that the hair grows out of the pore but then somehow starts to grow back into another part of the skin. This happens to a lot of people who have curly hair. If you are in pain, then you can try plucking the hair when you get out of the shower or bath when your pores are open. I sometimes get ingrown hairs and this helps alot.

Its a hair that grows just below the top surface of your skin. Sometimes it can become inflamed and retain a littel fluid around the hair folicle.

Sometimes when you shave your legs, a hair will start to grow back, but it doesn't grow out. It grows under the skin.
