Interesting question. Why do you ask?

Are you in the programme and want to run up a credit card bill, or are you in debt and want an 'easy' way to avoid the debts? I suppose you could orchestrate a crime, frame an organised crime gang and then give evidence against them.

might try it myself to get rid of my mortgage.

If you have a new identity you can't very well keep your old debts since you are no longer the person who incurred those debts. But maybe they can provide you with some new debts to go with your new identity.

The debt goes with you, but if you're a smart cookie, you'll ask for compensation for that witness bartering to cover your debts and lodging.

thats a good question! your creditors can't know who you are.. so does the government pay for it and then you have to pay them back maybe?? hmmm??
