the bible is so full of contradictions and self righteousness, ignorance, denial, and hypocrisy are the most powerful tools you can use to justify contradictions and lack of integrity for those who do not practice what they preach

You are right to question that, I've asked that question some time ago. But then I found out it's not a contradiction... the mistake is in the translations of the Bible. The original version in Hebrew says 'thou shalt not murder'. It would be strange if we could not kill not matter what the situation was, because the Bible itself talks about the cities of refuge: when anybody killed another person by accident (they didn't mean it), they spent a time at some city of refuge (there were some appointed cities for that purpose). It was to avoid vengeance from the relatives of the dead person. Don't worry, God cannot contradict Himself, He is perfect =)

What I believe that amendment sould be "thou shalt not murder" meaning thou shalt not kill innocent beings. if the person you are sending to die did somthing wrong and should be punished for his actions. if the person did not do any thing wrong, and did what he believe is right, it would be the murder of and innocent being.

yes, i kno that no one is truly innocent, (exept maybe babies and MAYBE some preists, but i dont kno any priests so i couldnt say for sure.)but it is murdur to kill someone who did not break the laws into a millon shards, murder some one, ect.
