I now give him 5 tbsp mixed with formula, is 6-7 too much for him. What is the estimated amount at this time? He wakes up early acting like hes starving for a bottle.

I started giving my son only a tbsp before bed when he started waking up (dr's orders) Try 6 and see what happens...he's probably having a growth spurt, and it hungry...it may settle down...Try also changing his schedule to go to bed an hour later at night??

just follow his cues, if he turns his head away he is done. never try to get him to finish that last little bit if he's full he shouldn't be encouraged to eat more. It'll set up a pattern to over eating. as for the waking up - he's probably going through a growth spurt, that's common around 5 mo. If the baby is of healthy size try to let him self sooth so he doesn't get back in the habit of a midnight snack. most babies can handle sleeping through the night at four mo old, but it might take some patience to get there

good luck

He is probably growing and needs more nutrition. He could also be cutting teeth and wakes due to the pain. (Just finished this with my 9month old 3 days ago). The only thing that you can do is get him and feed him...

I think that's just about right...but it really all depends on the baby, feeding isn't an exact art, and every child is different, if he is eating all if it and wanting more, give him more....just take your cues from him and you should be fine.
