By the way Islam has not been around for 2000+ years. Islamic history begins in Arabia in the 7th century with the emergence of Muhammad. It was Imperial Rome which drove them off the land in 73 C.E. This situation stems from the recognition of the independent Jewish state in 1948. Please do some research.
As far as Israel being overrun by the Arabs. The Arabs have tried twice. Once was in the Six Day War, and the other was the Yom Kipor War. To put it bluntly the Arabs got their buttocks handed to hem in both cases.
As far as the US support of Israel goes, the US supports Egypt with just as much weaponry as it supports Israel with, and more to the Saudis.
However, for the sake of hypothetical speculation, should the Arabs mount a successful attack against Israel and threaten Tele-Vive. Israel has what is called the "Samson Protocol" every major city in the Arab world would be targeted with a nuclear weapon. The idea is that Israel will take out the Arab would when they go down.

So is the answer - NO! Who is going to annihilate Israel. Islamic/Arab/Muslim nations may be wealthy enough to buy weapons and some are advanced enough to develop them but altogether they are as organized and powerful as a squirrel community (and those little F'ers usually end up killing themselves. So who is left China? They think the Jews are nothing more than homogenized cheese spread and are as much a threat as case of acne. Oh ya, India and Pakistan (remember the squirrel story!).
Besides, they are a good customer for weapons that are building up in the U.S. which by the way is like the brother of another mother. A rich and understanding half brother!
