some films can bond better with heat what did the installer say ? I would think that 'he' or the instructions would be the best guide we don't know the product used

No, but you should not roll down your windows for at least 7-10 days.
Also, before rolling the windows down, make sure you use a piece of cardboard or something similar to smooth out the air bubbles. Otherwise, you will have permanent bubbles in your tint.

more important DONT roll you windows down for like 2-3 days to make sure the tint is dry or else it might start to peel off

Most tinters recommend 24 hours. Maybe there is a reason in your climate for the longer time. It is to evaporate all of the water from the installation.

No. Don't open them for 24 hours or get them wet. Refer to your paperwork too for more information.

24 hours leave them rolled up, after that your good.
