The Mars Volta, by friend (who scours Yahoo! Answers here, and actually got me into Yahoo Answers as well) Trapdoor got me into them, and I absolutely love them. Well I had heard 'The Widow' by them two or so years ago, but their other stuff is so much better.

Well, It wasn't recently, but It was the Gorillaz =3. I heard one of thier songs on the radio, and I fell in love with it. But it took me forever to find out who they were. I like their music but personally they really freak me out.

Vertical Horizon. I found out that they sing a song that a favorite country singer of mine sings, so I checked them out. Their prettey cool.
