What helped me to stop... many years ago when I was in high school,a biology teacher had us clean under our fingernails and put the specimen under a microscope. YUCK!!! There are these little tiny worms called nematoads that live in the dirt under your nails. You can actually see them under a microscope. This grossed me out enough to the point of never biting them again! Hope this helps you too.

The best way is to use nail polish . The moment you bite them you will feel the bad taste and stop doing it again.

I use to bite my nails as well. Until my grandmother one day told me that your fingernails carry alot of germs. She told me to take a look under a microscope to magnify what I am putting my mouth on. Once I seen it I didn't take a second thought as to biting my nails any further.

i actually have the same problem and i had nails put on. if you leave them on long enough you'll drop the habit. then after that, if you still have the urge, there's this disgusting stuff called No Bite. it looks like a creamish colored nail polish but it tastes horrrrrrrrible! it's working for me! good luck!

Put some peppers on your nails and fingertips and I mean those red hot crushed peppers. They will stop you from biting your nails because first of you all, the peppers are spicy when your tongue comes in contact, second of all, if you get ANY cut/scratches...oh boy, you will feel it.

i don't bite my nails, but i've heard that wearing gloves or mittens helps you to stop.

put chili on your fingers or anything else that you don't like. it worked alot for me! GOOD LUCK!
