In the Northeast, it's called tonic. In the Midwest, it's pop. I've also heard it called soda and soda pop.

In Canada, it's pop, in the US it's soda. We always had a chesterfield when I was a kid, never called it the couch. I know over in England (where mom's parents are from) they call a truck a lorry and a baby carriage is called a pram.

I say "shopping carts" to describe the things you put your purchases in, but people here in Texas say buggies or baskets. I've never understood it, but hey it's Texas.

In Texas we say "Ya'll" , in Cali. it's " You guys" My cosine from L.A. says Texans are lazy , he said we always try to change words because we are too lazy to pronounce the entire word.
For example:
we're they say, we are
gonna they say, going to
what's up they say, what is going on
hell the list goes on and on.........
