I find techno is like any other non popular music such as Jazz, blues, gospel, country.... It's an aquired taste. But as long as there is new music there will be people who will remix these songs and therefore there will always be a demand for techno.

please stop classifying all electronica music as "techno".
learn about the genre before you start making assumptions.
ps. there are over a million people from all over the world that go to the Electronica Music Festival in Detroit every year.
so no, it has not died. and it can`t because it is abiotic.
