The pipes are blackwood with orangish color ivory (?) There is no metal at all. The chanter has large flat end with dark circle inside by hole. Any information given would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I found this website for your research:

The orangish color ivory is actually a synthetic ivory replacement—it turns yellow over time. The wide flat thing at the end of the chanter is called the sole.

You can also take photos of your mystery pipes and post a message at the BobDunsire.com forum asking for pipers to help identify the pipes in question. It's important to have very clear and detailed photos. Fuzzy photos will be useless.

As mentioned in a prior answer, there are a few Grainger photos on my site (bagpipejourney.com).

There's a site that has a range of bagpipes reference images, but it's a "pay to access" site:
thebagpipeplace.com
You can e-mail Ringo Bowen there and ask if he has appropriate photos before you join.

Good luck with it.
