How about:- I'm a little teapot, round and stout
I'll watch your house for you when you are out.
I'll be a good neighbour and just sent this to say
Hope you have a great birthday.
Not bad eh?

Here's an ode to a green tea bag,
When I steep, nothing's a drag.
Place me in a teapot and get me wet,
Is the tea ready? No, not yet.
Now the time has finally come,
Tea and crumpets? Yum, yum, yum!
That's the best I can do in 5 minutes.

Ode to a teabag
O! Succulent herbs encased
In sheer gossamer splendor
Nestle among your brethren
Awaiting eagerly your destiny
The iron kettle awaits
Implacable yet inviting
It's purpose to contain
The water within steaming
Gently you enter the bubbling turmoil
Your essence expanding, diluting
Transforming all around
From requirement to delight

(I tried okay...)
Oh teapot of passion o' how thou burn bright,
When i flick that switch - Oh! The bubbly delight,
The water it bursts and the water is boiled,
It's got too hot and our plan is foiled.
Your chocolate coloured splender
Meets that of going on a bender
Or a fish in a blender,
But don't be offender! (Get a mexican to say this part for full effect)
lol. Gosh that's soo bad. If you asked me to write one seriously - with time and patience - it would be much better than that as I usually write poems in my spare time....just not about the subject of...tea!

Ode to a tea bag.
With the heat of hottest water
you give your best to me
But what remains, post steeping
helps swollen eyes to see
So hot from liquid or chill and moist
we bow to you on bended knee

your friendship's so refreshing
it's like a cup of tea
but you don't need any sugar
cos you're sweet enough for me!
