O.K. So I understand that you are ticked off at Israel, and feel that a country should not have the right to retailiate against people sending rockets over their borders, and actually crossing the border and kidnapping people... what would we do if cuba sent missles our way and kidnapped 66 of our soldiers? Sit idly by?
Well, if you want to boycott, here are some things you can do:
- Go into your medicine cabiten. Throw out all drugs developed by Abic or Teva, and enjoy a nice long flu.
- If you think are at risk for multiple Sclerosis, don't get tested. The tests were developed in Isreal. If you have a stroke, don't use the rehab equipment made in Isreal. It's the best out there, but to maintain your boycott I recommend you live with paralysis.
- Make sure that children with allergies don't use the "child hood" - it could save their life while sleeping and prevent death, but childhood death is a small price to pay for your boycott.
Before your grandmother gets alzheimers let her know that your boycott of Isreal helped prevent the development of drugs that could have helped her. Boycotts affect research. A new research center in Israel hopes to throw light on brain disorders such as depression and Alzheimer's disease. A Isreali researcher created a smallpox virus without inducing the dangerous side effects of the existing vaccine - if you need a vaccine or your child does, make sure to use the older, more dangerous one.. Tell anyone you know that has parkinsons disease that you are actively boycotting the best research in that field too.
When you go for a hysterectomy, make sure to have the invasive procedure and don't allow your medical team to use the non-invasive ExAblate 2000 System.
Oh, and you probably should get rid of your computer! Most of Windows operating systems were developed by Microsoft-Israel. When your trying to set up a new computer without an operating system, make sure you don't use Intel Chips. They were designed by Intel in Israel. Both the Pentium 4 microprocessor and the Centrium processor were entirely designed, developed, and produced in Israel. Voice mail technology was developed in Israel. The technology for the AOL Instant Messenger ICQ was developed in 1996 in Israel by four young Israeli whiz kids. Both Microsoft and Cisco built their only R.& D. facilities outside the US in Israel.
So, now that your complete boycott of anything Israeli,is in full swing ... oh, it isn't yet... you're still online, and maybe ill to... you will also have to get rid of that darn cell phone. Cell phone technology was also developed in Israel by Motorola, which has its biggest development center in Israel. Most of the latest technology in your mobile phone was developed by Israeli scientists.
As part of your boycott, try getting others involved. Write a letter to all the widows of 9/11 and let them know that you oppose Israels assistance in our own homeland security. Part of your personal security rests with Israeli inventiveness, borne out of our urgent necessity to protect and defend themselves from the terrorists you support.
A phone can remotely activate a bomb, or be used for tactical communications by terrorists, bank robbers, or hostage-takers. It is vital that official security and law enforcement authorities have access to cellular jamming and detection solutions. Enter Israel's Netline Communications Technologies with their security expertise to help the fight against terror.
In terms of human rights, they are stronger than all of their neighbors and many other countries, including the US. Relative to population, Israel is the largest immigrant absorbing nation on earth. These immigrants come in search of democracy, religious freedom or expression, economic opportunity, and quality of life. It is the only country in the area where it is legal to be gay - neighboring countries and the palestinians impose the death penalty for such self expression.
Environmentally, they have more consious than their neighbors and the US. Israel is the only country in the world which has a net gain in the number of trees every year.
So, you can vilify and demonize the State of Israel. You can boycott if you wish. At least now you know some of the consequences

Israel doesn't export anything you could impact by means of an organized boycott. If you are interested in improving middle eastern politics or humanitarian problems, get engaged! Join a relief organization.
Consider the possibility of taking a time out from work for a year or so and go over there to help. Help existing joint Israeli-Palestinian humanitarian organizations, or go and help out in one of the immigrant camps.
There is nothing you can do about Israeli politics, but you CAN make a difference by helping people who are suffering, regardless where they come from.
On a side note, if you could exercise a meaningful boycott of Israel, you would just hurt the Israeli civilian industry. The influence on actual policy would be zero.

They sell diamonds, high technology, military equipment, software, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and agricultural products (fruits, vegetables and flowers) are leading exports. Israel usually posts sizable current account deficits, which are covered by large transfer payments from abroad and by foreign loans (although some economists would say the deficit is a sign of Israel's advancing markets). Israel possesses extensive facilities for oil refining, diamond polishing, and semiconductor fabrication.

buy Hezzbollah products.
But seriously, you don't like that Israel is being agressive and that innocent people are being killed in Lebanon, how come you aren't screaming about the Israeli innocent people who are being bombed as well? An apartment complex was hit in Haifa. Is that ok?

You must be deaf dumb and blind to miss all the reporting from virtually all countries condemning Hezbollah and saying Israel has the right to self defence!!
Why do you not want to boycott Hezbollah and Hamas that cause all this in the first place?
Keep supporting the terrorist you obviously love the bloodshed it causes!!!!

A single person boycott would not work.
You would need to target those things that are Israeli and convince other people to do the same.
Harshly worded letters mean nothing to them as well.

What good would that do, if the Palestine's recognised Israels existence and stopped sending suicide bombers there, perhaps there could be peace. Conflict breeds conflict.

Do not buy any of their products or visit their country.
The problem is that you probably can't buy their goods anyway so you are boycoting them by default.
