Most likely new-wave or something along those lines. Something that sounds like The Network. But I'm crossing my fingers for punk-rock! And no hip-hop or pop crap. Those days have come and hopefully will be gone forever!

A resurgence of Classic rock intermixed with more current styles like punk/rap/alt . It's been done before, with groups like Linkin Park mixing Rock and Rap. But now, the old classic songs will be 'updated' in rhythm only. But will it work. Never mess with a classic....right?

Decent bands... but don't hold your breath... i have been dissapointed lately... all i can hope and pray for is that Emo (Yes, Fall Out Boy... your days are numbered) and the whole Boyband (including all the pop "divas") phase just slowly melts away... I think it's time to bring back epic progrock... or something like it...

There is math rock (you can hear some of it at epitonic.com), but I hope it doesn't become popular. Some bands are doing a variety of styles, so the band XYZ isn't just a rock band, for instance.

Rappers using a rattling trunk sound....alot of people in my neighborhood seems to think its a good sound.
