Be adventurous! You only live once, and you have to make the most of it. Move to Egypt. If you don't like it, you can always come back.

Do they let you purchase land in Egypt? Can you purchase an apartment there in Cairo? The reason for asking is that if you are going to live in a place, you should be able to purchase your dwelling so that it becomes your investment. You can then borrow against that investment (which is a solid asset - a home) and fund your dreams.

In Egypt, as well as many places in the Middle East, property is not ownable in that way. Large landlords own property and the people only pay rent. That means if you live there, you are never at peace - always worried about rent - which goes to a person who does not care for your dreams.

So. Stay where you are.

You should move to Egypt and live in a pyramid and eat KFC all day. Truly the life of a modern pharaoh. Ramses (all of them) would be jealous.

Thank you for your question.

It depends on where you are living currently, your relative employment prospects and other social ties.

I would like to visit Egypt but I am happy living in Australia.

As I don't know where you live, I can't give further advice.
