Are you in favor of interracial dating? Why or why not? Which race is preferred, which is the least preferred? If you are a parent, how do you feel about this for you and/or your children? In answers, please specify between white, black, latino, asian or indian (east asian), and if you are male or female, and your race. It will help out my classmate, thanks!

okay, I know this isn't the best sample but he wanted it to be random, just trying to help.

Wow, I can't believe someone thinks I am not trying to help.....that just hurts. My classmate doesn't have a computer in his apartment so I posted his question!

And for the person who thinks this is stupid, my classmate is doing a persuasive speech for our public speaking class IN FAVOR of interracial relationships. I am just trying to gather data for him, at his request! Stop judging when you don't know what is going on.

People are not just people, we are not all the same, no matter what everyone would like to think. There are different cultures and some get along better than others. Different cultures have different beliefs, some boys are raised believing a whole different set of values than others. I dont dissagree with interracial dating, I myself am caucasion, whatever that means, and am married to a hispanic man. We have two mixed race children and they arent at all confused about who they are. We understand each other, and although we dont always agree on every subject, we work it out because we love each other. He is way more religous than me, being raised catholic, and I am of the belief you dont need a denomination. We have had our differences let me tell you. Some cultures can more easily get along than others. Cultures where the women are suppressed for instance, are not going to get along with strong minded women of any race. We can all be taught though, that there are differences, and as long as we dont push our beliefs on others, we can reach a peacefull outcome

I am a 63 year old male with 30 years of naval submarine service.I am an American caucasian of German and English descent. There is no superior ( prefered ) race. God created us all equal! I do not see any problem with couples interracial dating, but where I see the problems crop up is when children are born from interracial marriages. We still have much predjudice in the world and it is the children who seem to suffer. A super person of interracial marriage who I respect immensely is Tiger Wood.

I date interracially so yes, I'm in favor of it. I truly believe that skin color is just so deep and that as alike or different we are we're all the same underneath it all. I don't 'prefer' to date a certain race, aesthetically speaking I like dark skin and features. I am not a parent. I am a Caucasian female.

I dont hate interracial dating but i cant say i like it. As a parent i would prefer my kids to date within their race but if they met a great person that treated them right i would be ok with it. personally i would not date outside my race and have been married for many years.

The exciting thing about this whole interracial dating is we will slowly but definitely become one race.
Everyone will look similar and the entire "overrated" thing about race will disappear completely. It might take a century for this to happen.
Yes I am in favor of it.

I am in favor of it. Along with the fact that I believe human is human and so there is no real difference between people, it is hard to be racist when you've got every race in your past somewhere. This means in essence sooner or later it is possible to rid the world of racism by mixing all races.

Toronto is the largest, multicultural city in the world. Multiracial dating has been going on here for about 50 years. We don't care what colour you are as long as you are a nice person.
If everybody did this, all people would be cream-coloured, and we would no longer have racial issues. Sounds like a good idea to me.

c/f/m and mom - interracial or not, educated not "ghetto or trashy" good manners a must. I have dated black, hugs no kisses good friends don't ruin friendships with sex. Also mexican/greek mix hugs & kisses, no opportunity to date Korean, Vietnamese or Chinese friends :( no Indian or Arabic friends except online but wouldn't hesitate. Never ever have cybered no reason to, real thing more gratifying. Marriage wouldn't black only not for any other reason than many have not experienced "to death do we part" or marital monogamy in my age group 40+. For my son's and step daughter ages 20+, my expectation for and of them is strong, do not disrespect them, love them for who they are, and do not force them to change to your expectation. Love is love no matter who it comes from. Same expectations I have for my self and the way I treat my husband. We have been married 13 yrs faithfully with only a wandering eye for he and I to be shared together, no secrets. It's all Greek to me - ÎÎ½Î±Ï ÎºÏÏÎ¼Î¿Ï ÎÎ½Î±Ï Î¬Î½Î¸ÏÏÏοι. More easily said in Italian - una gente del mondo uno! For those who only speak Spanish - una persona del mundo uno. What is it???? One world one people. Live it love it, it can and will be. Why doesn't society recognize that we all bleed red and that every religion is only a part of the answer to the greater question. That is what you should be asking. All is one and one is all.

I don't mind interracial dating because love is love and skin color shouldn't matter. I don't really prefer a race either. I'm not a parent. I'm a male and I'm a black hispanic so I'll leave that up to you to categorize me.

No I am not. I've included a link that pretty much states my reasons. I doubt it will do any good since any rational discussion of this sort most always descends into emotionalism and name calling.
P.S.
See what I mean? Your already being called stupid just for asking the question.
