It's like $100 less to stay there for 5 nights then on the strip, but it's 5 miles from the strip. I prefer staying on the strip because of the location, but my friend doesn't want to spend the extra money. Any ideas?

South Coast is out in the sticks, so you better have a car.
Right now its a million degrees so its not worth venturing outside your hotel

If you want the strip, try tripres.com or any of those online places. You can probably get a cheaper room and on strip.

Sahara is supposed to have a good online rate and they're on the strip

It is lovely and new. So there is no chance that it will be run-down like some of the cheap places on the strip-- Las Vegas blvd.

Southcoast is the newest of the coast properties, but it is like 5 miles south of the strip-- if you are going to hang everynight on the strip-- you will spend a fortune in cabs.

You know the westin is one block from the strip and it has specials. And the pool is great. They have a band at night.

The luxor and aladin have great on-line rates.

HAve fun

It's a pretty new hotel, but it is at the far south side of the Strip ( which is the street everyone knows as Vegas) It has a big open casino floor when you walk in and some resturants. It's small compared to some of the other hotels, but nice. It depends how close you want to be to downtown. It's not within walking distance, but it's not a long drive up the street to the main strip hotels.

Icrgurl - run the same search here and see if there is any change in the deals you have found.

I was able to land Bellagio for $146 less than any other website I checked....including the Bellagio website itself

Did you try expedia?

I'm thinking you should be able to find something on the strip if that's where you want to saty... we got a great deal at the NYNY last summer.... good luck.

(it can be really cheap if you book your flight and hotel together on expedia)
