Well, I play on two top teams, which in other words the best team for that sport in town. Well, I was at a camp for basketball which is run by my coach for the top team, I injured my elbow to the point were I can't play anything for 6 weeks. My coach for basketball didn't care that I couldn't play because his season was over, but my coach for soccer was really mad because our traing season just began. He told me I should only play one sport and that I really shrewed the team. I don't no if a should quit one and just play the other all year round, but I love basketball a lot and soccer a love too! SO if I had to pick one it would be basketball but I don't want to chose one. My parents also think I am overavtive and that it can't be good for my body, but I love what I play and how much I play it. Your advice would be greatly appreicated. I am 13 and entering the 8th grade.

I highly doubt that you are overactive because you are at such a young age you should continue playing whichever sports you want and than once you reach high school you can start focusing on one main sport that you can achieve. so my advice to you is play whatever sport you want, also you are not overactive at this such young stage of your life.

I was in this same situation last year. And I choose basketball over soccer the reason I did this is because I was only playing soccer to be with my friends. and basketball I was really serious about playing it. So I would say the sport you are really serious about play it. If that sport is both pf them then play both! Do what you want to do not what anyone else wants you to do! Follow your heart and dreams!
Good luck!

keep it going. keep playing both, it'll be worth it later. It'll help you stay fit. i play those two sports and track and just yesterday i stepped on a rusty nail. but it's all good. If i were to pick i would pick soccer over basketball, because it's more intense and active than basketball. Anyways, its ur decision.

You're at the age where you should play as many sports as interest you so that you can decide at which sport you're the best. When you're a sophomore in high school, that's when you should really concentrate on your best sport.

i doubt you are overactive, and you should keep playing both sports just somehow find a way to prevent yourself from getting seriously injured, and you shouldnt quite one because you honestly love them both so you will be hurting yourself if you decide to quite one of them.
