There was a successful commune in Zoar, Ohio.
It was started in 1817 and continued until the early 20th century.

I am 58 years old, my father is 83. Last year he bought me a shirt that read:
"I Live in My Own
Little World...
...but it's okay, they know me HERE!"
Some might take that as an insult, I don't. I found Utopia from within. It took me long time to Know that it's all an inside job looked after by my Creator. I always take myself with me wherever I go.

Better opportunities and way of living? I will say N.America
Stable families? Indian Peninsula.
Warfree peaceful life? Scandinavia.
