Put dish soap and water into a small pan, boil it. while it is boiling put a sprinkle of baking soda on the area. Then use a sponge to place in the soapy water and scrub the area. tThis should take the grease right off: old or new.

Some of the new oxygen based products are great for getting out grease. I also like the Easy Off BAM products. They are great!

Make a paste with baking soda and expect to use a lot of elbow grease. It'll take a while, but it will work.
There are various cleaners that will work too, but I don't like them because of the fumes.

Use any brand oven cleaner. Let it sit depending on how bad the stove is burned. Wipe off and then shine with Windex. It works great for glass top stoves.

use easy-off oven cleaner. you just have to spray it on the stove top then leave it about 5 minutes then you just have to use the sponge to clean it. that's it. it's easy and fast.
