You know what let Danica Patrick do that if she wishes. She hasn't proved anything anyways. No she isn't a good racer and she definately wouldn't make it in Nascar thats a simple fact. It has been proven that Nascar is harder than the IRL. She might need to strip for the money she isn't making in the IRL because she hasn't really had success. But with the new contract she signed she doesn't really have to do anything. And to add to it the only reason she is popular is because she is a girl, and she is racing. Any other person driving in the IRL that is just as good as her wouldn't have been noticed. Im not being sexist because I would like it if she won a race, and I think it is pretty cool that she is the only girl doing this but that isn't any reason to say she was great.

Danica can't control how the media is determined to portray her. All Danica is concerned with is the racing aspect. On the other hand, auto racing is a very expensive sport, dependent on personal sponsorship to participate. Anytime a participant has an opportunity to exploit the media for publicity, it is like free advertising for their sponsors. Danica is only using the tools given to her by the media. If that tool is her sex appeal, she would be stupid not to use it. She is no different than say, Dale Earnhardt Jr., or Kasey Kahne for example. The media portrays them as sexy young guys, so they use that to get attention for their sponsors too. Marketing these days is all about sex appeal to create interest in product promotions.

I don't think she is putting on any kind of show, she is strictly racing now. She did some glamour shots with limited clothing when she was trying to break into the game a few years ago but she is totally serious now. She is also married now! Even though she did not do well at Indy this year, she was the first finisher in a Panoz chassis which obviously was not the car to be driving. It will be interesting to see how she does next year with Andretti-Green racing. It will also be interesting to see how she finishes this season now that all of her contract details are settled for next season.

Absolutely not. She is the only reason I watch racing at all. Racing is a good sport don't get me wrong, but it looks too slow on TV and the real deal moves way too fast for me. Its hard to watch, but Danica Patrick is bringing in lots of viewers who otherwise wouldn't watch racing.

hey, she's actually a pretty good racer. but you're right, she has the opportunity to turn it up a notch and she's not doing that. She's lighter than most men, she won't sweat and dehydrate as fast as a man....she has plenty of advantages in a sport like this....but she needs to concentrate on her racing instead of being a puppet of the media...but she is kinda hot, ain't she?

give her a break man. she can't help it if she's beautiful. she's carried herself very professionally actually. it's the media who are trying to turn it into a strip show. one thing is for sure, once she starts driving for andretti-green, there will be no more excuses for not winning. remember now, this is only her second year, she's getting better. i think she has the talent to win and i think she will win with andretti-green.

Absolutely not. She helped revive a dieing organization in the IRL. Any attention that they can get is good attention. If she decides to go to nascar, im sure they will still market her the same way, because lets face it, that is how they market attractive people in any sport.
