I personally like Slayer, Season in the Abyss, South of Heaven or Reign in Blood

I'll say Slayer because I've never heard of Manowar and to me Seasons of the Abyss and South of Heaven are 2 of Slayers best albums. Angel of Death is a great song.

I like them both.
I think it's not right to compare to different bands, 'cause
Slayer is "death metal" band wheras Manowar is a "March metal"
band.I think that Manowar is "heavier" but Slayer is "rougher"!
Thogh I like Manowar more, I think if you've listened to Manowar songs you should have noticed kind of epic hymns in their songs,
which gives them agression & heaviness.

-Slayer:Live undead-Reign in blood-Seasons in abyss.

Man O'War probably weighed 1100-1200 pounds in his racing prime (roughly 1919 to 1920). 1980s thrash metal band Slayer fielded four members in their classic lineup, each probably weighing 165-180. So if we take the upper bound of 180 x 4 = 720, it's clear that Man O'War was quite a bit heavier.
As for the why, I'd attribute it to diet, exercise, and genetics.

Slayer rocks and they are heavier than the other bad.... And if you dont know who Slayer is you need to go back to your library and catch up on your rock history.....

really two different kinds of music....
Slayer is more thrash and Manowar is more main stream metal!!!
Both are GREAT THOUGH!!!
