There are no "tricks" to feeling good about yourself. The only sure-fire way to feel good about yourself is to BECOME a good person. You can dress it up; you can put on the show; you can get the "right" friends and go the "right" places, but in the end, you will still be left with you.
Being a good person means having integrity, being respectful of others, respecting yourself and not selling yourself short, treating others well, being polite, having goals, being a contributing member of society, helping little old ladies across the street, voting, reading good books and keeping yourself informed about the world around you, tipping for good service, getting a good education, working hard at your job, volunteering your time and services to those who need it....and the list goes on and on.
If you can do these things, you will find yourself happy - and happy people attract other happy people into their lives.
Don't look for shortcuts.

The first thing that I do when I wake up is take a shower,and put on my make up while my husband watches the baby. That way I am not laying atound the house in my PJ's feeling and looking like crap!
Also once a week I have a day by myself... I will leave the baby with my husband and then I will go shopping, have lunch, or hang out with my friends. Sometimes I will even go lay out by the pool with a magazine for a couple hrs, this is great for relaxing... And sometimes I will go to the mall and get a free make over!!!! It is alot of fun, and makes you feel good!

Go out and get involved.
Change your hairstyle, get one that's different and flattering.
Wear some new clothes that look extra nice on you.
Learn to ballroom dance.
Learn an instrument, or if you know how to play one, learn a new song.
Listen to upbeat music while jogging.
Swim an hour a day.
Have lunch with your friends.
Adopt a dog from an animal shelter, and feel good about saving their life.
Cook something yummy, and share with family/neighors/friends.
Throw a party.
Take a bubble bath.
Plant your own vegetable garden.
Get a bf/gf. Or get close to someone of the opposite gender.
Etc. Endless possibilities. Good luck!!

This is THE question.
I will tell you about me: I exercise regularly. I have a Body for Life cook book constantly open on my kitchen counter as my guide to eating. I take care of tiny things like my face, my toe and finger nails. I buy nice clothes for myself (just a few pieces). Sexy underwear is also nice. But more importantly....I stay away from bad people. I get out of abusive relationship super fast instead of hanging around. I wake up and thank God (if you believe in God) for making me. And I have on my bathroom mirror written in lipstick that "I am special. I am beautiful!" Sounds cheesy...but this is a VERY important question and one you MUST learn to answer. Don't give up. And don't listen to people who make you feel bad about yourself. Know the truth...that you are beautiful. That you are divinely created. That there is not another you. Once you know the truths about yourself...you will be set free. And never believe anything differently.

1..i guess realize that No one is perfect. even those beautiful celebrities, even some of ur friends who always look and act "great"....dont' be jealous of them. they have good and bad things going on in their lives, they just hide it or accept it easeir. also, if u feel someone else is "better" than you, dont' let it bring u down; be happy for them and u will realize that u want the same for urself, not because u want to be better than others but because u want EVERYONE to be better people.
2.. take care of urself. exercise regularly, don't eat when ur sad, just take care of ur body and health in general. also, continue to study as hard as u can, or have study groups, ask for help instead of feeling bad about urself.. everyone learns at their own pace, and the more help u get now, the more u can help urself AND others later on. grow self confidence in urself step by step, because when u work hard, u will see results.
3... develop hobbies, things u like doing, and u will see that u Can accomplish many things.
once u start the process and feel better about urself, u will have more confidence and know how to maintain it. when u are happy and self confident and sweet and just a Great person, u will attract Great people to you, who want to learn how to be happy and positive too. don't dwell on negative things, or "failures", keep working hard at what u want. don't take anything less than what u want, and u will see that being positive and being happy about what u have is much better than being negative and depressed about what u don't have. take care~

Look in the mirror every morning and accept how you look. Do not look for the negitive things. Love the positive things about yourself and learn to love the things you dont like about yourself. Go shopping and treat yourself to a few new cute outfits. Take yourself to a dinner and the movies. Get to know yourself, spend time with yourself. Stop thinking about the things you think are bad and think about all the things your blessed with. Dont concern yourself to much of what others think of you.

In order to feel good about yourself you first have to begin to like yourself...and put yourself as number 1. Now, I don't mean in a selfish or arrogant sort of way, I mean by putting your needs at the top. You have to have hobbies and interests. You have to also make certain that you keep the 'bar' high when it comes to a b/f or a g/f. Don't settle for someone who isn't aware of your needs or someone who doesn't care about your needs. Make sure that you care about yourself first and then it will be easy to care for someone else....and you really will feel good about yourself.

Comb your hair, brush your teeth, spray on a bit of cologne or perfume, and get dressed in your best outfit. Then stand in front of the mirror and repeat after me "Darling, I look simply MaRvElOuS!" And you will ! (It's all in your mind and shows through your attitude!)
You should also concentrate on your education and career goals so you can find your true purpose in life... now that will really help you feel good about yourself!!

Do something to help another person. A person in need, the elderly, the mentally or physically challenged, homeless people. This will help you feel better about yourself.
