What are you wanting to sell? Have you thought about an online "garage sale"?

I have an eBay store and, if you are interested, we can cross-promote once you get started. Let me know what you think. Here's my store: http://stores.ebay.com/aphroditescreations

I've said it before and I'll say it again: eBay is a time tested market with proven stability and safety. There are tons of people who make a living selling items on eBay, it all depends on how good you are at merchanting.

As far as promoting the items, don't bother. eBay is designed to allow people who are intrested in the item to find it quickly and easily. Post you item on eBay and be patient... It may do nothing for a long time, but if its worth selling, a horde of bids will come in during its last hour on auction.

I sell on ebay but I really dont like it. Depending what you sell and after you build a reputation then things come a bit better for you. Only certain items may get really good profit. I dont think ebay is so safe nor paypal because I have been screwed once before and the customer kept the merchandise and they still make me repay them back after they decided to cancell payment on a credit card. So it sucks just hope it doesnt happen to you.

I got a computer only because I wanted to sell a collection I inherited on e-bay. I had a great time until I got screwed by Paypal. Be sure to read every word of the contract if you decide to use them, but I recommend you do not. They are having a lot of problems inside and out. E-bay is great, paypal is not.

It is the place to go.

See what you are selling and how others are doing with the same items.
