there are a lof of options, but you have to ask yourself a few questions, such as:
* are you looking for a web-hosting company, or just tools for building a website?
* do you mind if your website/page includes a lot of ads?
* do you plan on spending money for a site? how much?
* what kind of support does the company offer?
* for web-hosting needs - do they have their own tools available to make building pages easy?
* what is the purpose of the website/page? (helps you determine if the hosting company or page building tools offer enough of what you need)
* do you need a domain name? is one included in the price from the web hosting company?
* how much space do you need for your website? (will it have a lot of pages/photo galleries/etc. that eat up storage)
* do you need email addresses included with your site? how many?

you may have other considerations that i haven't even mentioned.

If you're just looking to have your own webpage - nothing too fancy - why not just make a yahoo 360 page? or you could create a page on myspace.

if you need something more elaborate, then do your research. check into yahoo, go daddy, yahoo's geocities, homestead, startlogic, and others. compare these and others to find the one best for you.

believe it or not, google even has something new to look into called Page Creator. click the link for more info.
