How about disclosing an age??
I'm personally not in favor of spanking in general, unless you REALLY deserve it (theft, arson, vandalism, physical assault on another, etc would all fall into my "a$$-whoopin' offenses" category).
If he's leaving marks, then you need to get yourself into your counselor's (or clergy or police) office and report him for child abuse. There's a HUGE difference between a spanking and a beating...and what he's doing (if he's leaving bruises) is NOT a spanking.

I was 17 when I got my last spanking I was caught kissing a boy behind the pool when I should of been at practice. I do not know the right age to stop.

I wish you had told us how old you are. I think spanking should stop at 11 or 12. By that time, a kid has developed valuable things that can be used as torture against him (aka...grounding) that is much more effective than spanking.

my brother is 10 and getting spanked is so old he should stop @ age 6-8 grounding or a long lectures is the thing these days

I would say that the spanking as punishment should stop at around 13 or so.

i would say spanking beyond the age of 8 is just dumb. Kids older than that can understand talking and other kinds of punishment...if you are like 15, tell someone about this because thats messed up.

Spanking is never a good idea. He's guilty of abuse and should be in jail. How's THAT for an eye-opener? IM me, talk to a school counselor, a minister or priest, or policeman. Any of those can help you.

I would have to say 13 is a age where you shouldnt get spanked your concered a pre teen that means not a little kid anymore

I am the father of 2 age 6 and 3. In my opinion he should never have started. If that is the form of punishment that is used, it should stop when it stops being effective. After that it is just abuse.
