Supposing you mean Justin Verlander.
Anyways, i say you do it. Konerko is in a real slump right now, and is hurting your team more then he is helping. Thome would be a good replacement at first. Might not get as many at bats, but can still put up very good stats.
In Verlander, you are getting a good young pitcher. The one stat that sticks out is his ERA.

ok, enable's commence with the closers change: it is the beside the point area of the commerce reason both men are astounding closers and could finally end up with a similar kinda numbers on the top of the twelve months. Boston may get extra keep possibilities than Nathan yet i do not imagine that that is that large of a deal thus. about the hitters now: truly you're giving a 1B for a 3B and swapping OFs. In baseball the placement eligibility is very nearly the most important ingredient, in case you obtain a extra ideal 1B than Pena (i wish you do) then Pena gained't play a lot for you and he purely had one large twelve months (continuously a daunting actuality). on the different hand, 3B are tougher to locate than 1B and in case your 3B replaced into Lowell then getting Gordon is actual a wise flow. Lee is an improve over Fukudome, that is a no-brainer... although if Fukudome has a spectacular commence, he's not any tournament to Carlos Lee. i ought to do the commerce if I were on your shoes. the different guy is probable a Sox fan and overpaying for Paps ;)

When did Verlander get traded to Texas, Zach?
I would not do that trade only because Verlander is a rookie and could break down on you in late Aug./Sept. I have him in a couple of my leagues but I wouldn't recommend trading a great hitter for him.

Ok, so who do you move to DH to take Thome's place? If you have another decent hitter, this is a no-brainer trade. If you are in a deep league like me and the best you can get is Omar Vizquel, then I wouldn't do it. But in most leagues, you can find a DH who won't embarrass you.

No. Konerko is more valuable and more consistent. Get someone better and more consistent than Verlander, especially if this is a non-keeper league we're talking about.
