First off-- Down the Stretch it all comes down to pitching .. but Harang is a superb fantasy pitcher, along with Liriano ..
WOW .. this is a pretty big Blockbuster trade .. hmm.. Utley one of the best all around best players in the league, he does everything .. but Pujols .. well, Pujols is Pujols, he's amazing..
Liriano and the twins will be hot down the stretch fighting for a wild card spot .. Harang and Cinncinati, i feel, will slow down .. Harang, not as much as the rest of the team, he will still be in the top 5 in strike outs when the seasons over and end up with 20 wins ... The Cards will be a good team for the rest of the season and Pujols will hit his normal self, youo know home run every other game .. Phillies will slow down a litle , but utley will still do what he does ..
I say you accept it .. especially if your looking for Strikeouts and Homeruns .. Hell, with Pujols even Average and RBI's .. Harang will give you a significant amount of strike outs and with a "good" ERA, not like Liriano's ofcourse, but still good..
Bottomline: DO IT : )
good luck

I would take the trade. Liriano is in his rookie season. He could start to get shaky at any time as the season ends. Harang has been consistant for the past 3 seasons and is currently in the top with strike outs and wins. As hot as Chase Utley is right now, Pujols is better. Pujols gives you a player with the best HR, RBI, and Avg. Harang and Liriano are equal caliber and Pujols is better than Utley. Take the trade

Is this a keeper league? If it is, I'd say no way! Liriano is the best young pitching stud out there and Chase Utley is most likely the best 2nd basemen at least in the NL. Pujols is awesome and Harang is okay, but if you need serious offensive numbers then go for it. My gut instinct tells me (especially in a keeper league) not to do it...

no liriano is a phenom and chase utley can hit for average and power, while the reds are not as good dont have a solid closer and albert pujols hasnt hit but maybe 6 homeruns since the strained oblique

Let me begin by saying that I am a Phillies fan, and Chase Utley is my favorite player on the team.
Now that I got that out of the way, trade for Pujols and Harang...unless your pitching is utterly atrocious. If it is, you should pause, make a sandwich, think about how great Pujols is, and trade for Pujols.

Depends on who you have at first and 2nd now and what other starters you have.
Do the math.....take pujols #'s, subtract it with who you'd bench at 1st. Subtract Utleys numbers from who you'd start in his place. Do the same with Liriano and Harang. If it favors you nicely, do it. If not keep who you have.

There is no way I would get rid of Liriano with the year he is having.

I'd only do it if you have depth at all positions. If you don't, then don't do it. Are you doing well without Pujols or would you benefit from having him? Before you answer that, examine your roster and decide for yourself
