For punk, ska, techno, rock, indie, goth, alt rock, etc etc. Not rap or hip hop. I'm moving back down there soon and dont wanna pay the large amount of cash it tends to take for the not-so-good bands of the colliseum.

I find the small bars and clubs in Raleigh are a good bet... Try the Pour House in Raleigh, NC or the back room at Rum Runners
