Slightly, yeah. But that is the nature of baseball and sports in general. The veteran athletes always get paid the most, besides he was smart so he got his services involved in a bidding war - so he got a lot more money.

Many teams are always looking for that 1 guy who will "put them over the top" and help them win a championship. Even though he stayed with the same team in the end, there were a lot of teams that wanted him to be that guy.

He got $20M last year for a full season.

Have you seen how good he has pitched since coming back? The Astros just have no idea how to score a run when he pitches.

Of all of the people making as much money as they make (prime example - Randy Johnson); Roger Clemens making what he does is not a problem to me.

My favorite player, Roger the drama king himself. Of course, he is overpaid as are many of the prima donnas in baseball of whom he is the biggest. Roger loves Roger, adores Roger, promotes Roger. He is singularly the biggest embarrassment to MLB except for Barry Bonds, as he stumbles and bumbles his way through one interview after another. Stay tuned. He will retire at the end of this season AGAIN, and then rip off some team next year dumb enough to let him miss spring training and join the team in early July!!

Chow!!

I do I do, that dipshit should have stayed at home in his recliner instead of coming back.I hate Clemens have since 2003 and will till he retires once and for all.I don't care that he is a former Red Sox.

He's no worse than any other player. The Astros have the money to spend, and he's certainly performing, so nobody can really complain about his salary. If you don't like it, don't go to the games.

I don't know about that. He's still putting up great numbers but the Astros aren't scoring any runs for him.

well, in my opinion, practically all athletes are way over paid. All those policemen, fire fighters, and teachers are way under-paid considering what they are doing for the society.

Absolutely not!!! He's worth every penny the Astros spent on him.
