They are having a year - a year that is making Steinbrenner scratch his head. How crazy would it be that the two most successful regular season teams of the past decade (the Yankees and Braves) both not make the playoffs in the same season? That would be huge.

I know the Yankees are playing good right now, but I have a feeling that the White Sox are going to make a run, and that they will get the WC spot. I truly think the Red Sox have enough pitching to get them through to the postseason, so the Yankees will be the team on the outside looking this year. The Braves will not even get close to the playoffs, and I think that will make it the first time since 1996 that neither the Braves or the Yankees were in the postseason. Wow!

The Yankees are having a year where they finally realize they can't buy a championship team. A Rod can't handle the pressure of NYC and the Red Sox will win the AL East. The Yankees suck!

Yeah, the Yankees are having a year.

Half their team is injured... and even fielding a team from Triple A, the Red Sucks still can't put them away.

When Matsui, Sheffield and Cano come back, this race is over. The Red Sox will be 8 games back by mid September and their fans will be crying about a curse again.

I think they are having a good year, losing 2 all-star outfielders to injuries, having an inconsistent starting rotation, and no setup men in the bullpen to get to rivera, and still be 2.5 games back in the AL East.

Isn't every team having a year? Some are having a good year (Tigers, Mets), others....not-so-good (Royals, Pirates).

To put it this way - if the season ended now, they wouldn't even make the playoffs.

Of course they are killing my Rangers right now, so I don't have much room to talk.

Well, um, they're certainly having a year. That's pretty much unquestionably true.
