Is there like a healh or sanitation reason for this, is it becuase it looks better, or perhaps to help conceal tatoos. What is the reason?

We asked one of the Hooters girls that question a couple weeks ago. Her reply was that it was part of the uniform and that a lot of the girls have cottage cheese butts and legs. She said you really don't want to see their real legs for all the cellulite. And the hose gives more of a smooth tan finished leg.
She didn't mind wearing pantyhose unlike most trashy women on this site.

Isn't Hooters supposed to be a RESTARAUNT, that serves Food...or has it turned into some kind of 'poor man's Playboy Bunny Club'? I don't mind looking at 'Barbie dolls' in sexy hose...but I sure wouldn't want to bring my nephew to a place like that...might give him the wrong idea about things, especially if he saw me looking at a Hooters girl's legs, and tell her I would give her an extra big tip if she would let me feel up her hose legs under the table...that is assuming Hooters doesn't have bouncers. Restaurant Indeed!

Because it is company policy, to make sure every body's legs are attractive. Sheer pantyhose make the legs more attractive. They are worn all the time in photo shoots and the advertising world, because no creams or sprays can make a woman's legs look as good as nylons. I find it amazing that although they tell women not to wear stockings with open shoes, the do it in the very commercials that advertise the shoes because they make legs look better, the feet daintier, and keep the toes together. Ultra sheer stockings are so sheer you cannot see them, but you can see the effect.

To continue feeding the illusion of the "ideal" woman. Hooters is marketed mainly toward men. Do you think the owner (a man) wants his girls' real legs to show? NO! We all have scars, scrapes, moles, freckles, bruises, etc. but that is not acceptable in an environment like that (T&A). I once spoke with a girl who worked there, but she didn't have big boobs, so I asked how did she get the job? She said she had to wear a super-padded bra. In addition to the panty hose.
So next time you patronize a Hooters, or pick up your fave men's magazine, remember none of it is real, and be grateful to all the sh*tty things we have to do, and the unreal expectations we women struggle to live up to on a daily basis. And all for what? So you can leer at us like a plate of 7 dollar buffalo wings. Bon Appetit!

Well the dress code for the girls working there is pantyhose, orange or black shorts, socks, sneakers and then a bra and the shirt.
Its in the store's handbook.

The kind they wear is pretty tight and I suppose helps their legs look slimmer & firmer?? Looks like the same kind worn by girls on the dance team in HS.
