it's sort of like my aunt told me. When you go to a Redskins football game you look in the stands and you see thousands of Redskins Jerseys, but they are not on the team. So just because someone wears a cross or totes a bible it doesn't mean they are a Christian or living the Christian life as God would want them to live it. All you can do is live the way God would want you to live and try to lead your friends in the right direction by setting a God (not a mispelling) example

you said 'They preach love & practice hate'. Tolerance does not equal love. If my husband was an alcoholic, I could tolerate that ... but it would be a more loving thing to confront him about it so he could get help. Jesus himself confronted sin, but WITH love. True Christians realize that except for the grace of God, they would be entangled in the same web of sin.
I'm not sure who you are saying that Christians are killing in the name of God. You'll have to elaborate on that point.
And finally, no Christian has the power to damn anyone. Only God can do that. True Christians point the way to salvation, as Jesus commanded they should ... but leave the decision & the judging to God alone.

Because they get so caught up in what the world thinks and their own man made ideas and needless to say this so called thing called religion organization. They read the bible but fail to understand it 2 timothy 3;6-9. But believe you me all of these things must take place in order for the bible to full fill. I take you back to 2 timothy 3:1-5. If a person truly loves the lord their light will shine through and not just when soemtime but all the time.

This is why: 1 Timothy 3:1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power, from these turn away. 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowlege of truth.

Are you perfect Destroyer? I understand your frustration, but are you walking with them in love? If not, then you are just the same as the people you condemn. Certainly, we are to weigh the actions of our fellow Christians so that we will not be deceived. The New Testament says a lot about accountability, but it begins with you finding someone to hold you accountable, not in you going out and holding others accountable. Don't let people confuse accountability with judging. Be a good watchman. But get the log out of your own eye so that you can see clearly. Don't have one standard for others and a different standard for yourself. That's hypocrisy.

It is a contributor to the negative view many have about Christians. Also, consider that in abortion. If a young women is pregnant the religious get holier than thou, she is shunned etc, chooses abortion same deal. Definately a dicotomy.

Why are you judging your fellow Christians? Didn't Jesus mention that, too? Go and do good, lead by example, and love the unloved. That way, the bad acts of others will wither by comparison.
