I mean not to offend anyone, I am merely curious about ethnic identity.

I'm mixed white and native. I used to feel more white as my dad is white and I grew up in suburbs, and that side of our family is really uptight. Now I live in a town with a lot of native people, and I find as I get older (in my 30's now) I do look mixed for sure. In Canada, people from my mother's cultural background are known as Metis, and it's important to acknowledge all our ancestors. It used to bother me to be ambiguous, but now I like it.

I'm black/hispanic but I think I identify more with being hispanic since it was my first language and all.
