why do rich and famous people get tons of free things and they have homeless children, adults, and war veterans in the U.S. Here is a marketing technique they should try, instead of the rich market to the poor. They will be loyal to you, and greatful. What do you all think?

Wouldn't you notice a group of homeless that were wearing designer clothes. It could lead to much more and raise awareness

Here is the simplest explanation - people want to emulate the celebrities. So, if a company gives a celebrity an item, they are guaranteed many sales because everyone wants to have that item. People ignore homeless people so they wouldn't notice what they are wearing anyway. The goal is not about "helping" people. It's about selling a product. What better bulletin board than someone who is constantly getting their photograph taken? It's superficial. It's sad. It's the way the majority think.

Marketing is about creating a desire for an item in order to get people to purchase something. It's also very expensive, so it would be diffiicult for a company to recoup the sales money spent on marketing to a group of people who can least afford the items.

There are actually some examples of retail stores returning to impoverished neighbourhoods for just this reason. People with less money do not travel to purchase basic necessities and spend a greater percentage of thier money on groceries.
