Roger should definetly retire. Personally, I despise him. He does not seem to be a straight-forward person to me. He had the accept a Hummer from the New York Yankees as a retirement present, and then go back to pitch in Houston. He then gets special provisions, like he does not have to travel with the team if he is not scheduled to start on the road. Just this year, he said he was retiring again, and ended up coming back a few months into the season, which you could tell were his intentions all along.

Although I do not like Clemens, and I think he should stay retired, you unfortunatly can not deny his dominance in the game, and his still impressive performances. I wish he could just decide whether he is going to stay or go, and not keep up with the same old antics, but I guess you can get away with things like that when you are a superstar.

um he has a 2.45 era....that's not a schmuck pitcher we're talking about. This is Roger Clemens, i dont' know how to put this but he's kind of a big deal. The only reason he should have retired is b/c he's getting no run support from Houston batters...other than that there's no pitcher like Roger....stop hating you Yankee fans.

Nope...He's pitching better than guys half his age. He's just not getting run support. But he's still more than effective and he never said he was retirinig this off season, he just never signed with a team. The team he went to couldn't sign him until a couple months into the season so he still wouldn't have started playing until he did.

seriously people...get off his jock...who are we to tell someone when to retire. If at 42 someone told you to retire from whatever job you've been doing for the last 20+ years, unless you didn't want to do it anymore you;d look at them crazy

Yes, I think he should have retired. He is a great pitcher and I would hate to see him have a bad year and then retire at the end of the year. It's too bad that he just doesn't seem to get the run support when he is pitching. Reminds me of Nolan Ryan.

He's still a great pitcher, his ERA is 2.45 after 7 starts, so I see no reason for him to retire. He's still capable of Cy Young numbers, but he can't get any wins if his team doesn't score any runs. I don't think he's worth $20 million a season though.

The competitive juices in that guy are seriously overflowing, which is why he came back again this season...the sad thing is that he is getting absolutely no run support which means he is losing, something I bet he never thought would happen. Hopefully that will be enough to keep him in retirement after this season is over.

You mean the king of drama, the 2-4 pitcher (?) with the Astros, the self-serving, self-adoring, self-loving Roger himself?? The guy who stumbles and bumbles and contradicts himself every time he opens his mouth? The one who bamboozled the Astros to let him wait till June to sign and play?? Yeah!! That's who you mean. He has retired, but keeps coming back to torture those of us who see him for what he is.

Chow!!

What? No!

Hes pitching solid!

You see last night? No damn run support.

His team is pathetic and seems to show the vet still has his touch and seems to produce more than the young guys.

Astros are pathetic, Pettite is on a downfall with them.

Berkman seems to be the only one who can hit?

Who knows, the deadline is coming up.
