Housing costs too much too. When is the government going to force home owners to sell at a price I can afford? Home owners are just gouging us. But not me. When I sell my house at a 500% profit, they better not interfere with MY economic freedom.
And Orange Juice. Have you seen the prices? When is the government going to force growers to drop the price so I can buy more? They're making too much money already.
Don't get me started on plasma TVs. Those prices are rediculous. The president needs to address the fact that the plasma TV people are charging more than I want to pay, and I have the right to low TV prices. Those dealers are making record profits from selling me TVs, and that is outright unamerican!
Forget the fact that, after inflation, gasoline is actually a cheaper commodity than it used to be. Or that part of the price we're paying is to formulate the gas for better ecology. Or that over 10% of the price is taxes in most states. Or that I consume more now per captia than ever in the history of the world. Darn it, I want the government to make gas cheaper for me. It's their job!

Its not a question of gas prices because the US is still cheaper than most of Europe. The real question is when is the US government going to improve public transportation? When are they going to catch up with the rest of the world and install more subways and trains that are fast and affordable? Or how about a decent bus system that isn't all dirty and always making you late to work? That would be the way to lower gas costs for the individuals. That's the way into the future, public transportation that is safe, clean, affordable, reliable, and quick.
I took a train the other day that told us how fast it was traveling, 130kph through the countryside and we made it to Munich much faster than last year when we went by car. It cost about the same as it would have to drive, but without putting all that strain and mileage on my car or having to deal with Stau.

the government is already in contact. The federal gov. gets approximately 18 cents in line with gallon and states get so lots extra. My state is already 5th optimal gasoline tax interior the country and have merely presented law to strengthen the gasoline tax with an computerized tax strengthen outfitted in. the hot tax would be over fifty 5 cents in line with gallon. There are additionally different expenses related to all gasoline production, transportation, storage, and so on., that are all charged via the government to gasoline companies and those expenses are additionally handed directly to the comsumer. The overal earnings the oil companies make is approximately 8 cents in line with gallon. the precise 5 oil manufacturers are interior the middle east and Mexico. Exxon is 5th and produces 3% of the international's oil. and finally, the inventory industry and oil futures finally set the fee of gasoline and oil. any further questions? we are additionally importing 13% of our gasoline from different international locations. that's helping to rigidity up the fee.

The only thing the government could do would be to lower or otherwise suspend the federal gasoline tax that adds an additional 38 cents to the per gallon cost. Otherwise, we don't want the government to interfere in the economy, it's a mistake and a dangerous slippery slope.

The Government is not going to do anything. That is not the job of the federal government. Also, public transportation is not the answer. Not all of us live in a town that has public transportation or even needs it. Fuel efficient vehicles, or battery powered vehicles are the answer. We need to stop looking for ways to lower the price of gas and look for ways to stop using so much gas. The technology will follow, we will have better vehicles, then, there will be something else to ***** about.

They already did, they invaded a country that was selling it cheap so they could add some extra overhead costs to it. Too bad I have a moral problem with buying stock in big oil, I could have maded a killing (pun intended).

Nothing. Different governments have their reasons but the one truth remains that its becoming more difficult to get hold of oil which is why it costs so much.
