The real issue here is the overwhelming and compiling evidence that firmly points the finger at Thimerosal, the mercury preservative that was once pumped freely through the veins of our children. Though Thimerosal was never used as a preservative in the MMR, it was added to 3 to 4 other Vaccinations a child received on the same day (DTP, HIB & some PV) as well as Hepatitis B, which many children also receive at the same time. Some children received up to 500 times more mercury in one round of vaccinations than what the FDA considered toxic for a 200 pound adult.
The CDC requested that the Pharmaceutical companies start phasing out Thimerosal in Childhood vaccinations in July of 1999. Stock piles of the Thimerosal laden vaccines where not destroyed, but used first before the mercury free alternatives where delivered. In most states, it took over 18 months to use over stock of Thimerosal containing vaccinations in their shot clinics. I have talked with numerous veteran Educators over the years, many have no doubt that something started happening to the minds of students corresponding with the class of 2010. (Just completed the 8th grade). These Children would have been born in 1991- 1992. That is when popular herd immunization began accross this country. Once you actually read the overwhelming evidence, you might become a little more compassionate with parents who know the cause of their child’s autism isn’t purely coincidental.
One other reverent point I would also like to make. Whether the MMR vaccination causes Autistic Encephalitis or inflammatory bowel disease or not, I did find reports regarding the latest Mumps epidemic quite interesting. In the earlier reports, the CDC openly reported that 90 out of 100 people getting the disease had been fully immunized against Mumps. (90% with 2 doses of the MMR) Later they changed the percent to 65%. It’s obvious the vaccine doesn’t work. So why is the CDC defending it to the bitter end? What else could be wrong with it besides the fact it doesn’t immunize against mumps, a major component in the vaccine itself?

There is no doubt in my mind that Thimerosal, (mercury) used as a preservative in some childhood vaccinations is the main cause in the dramatic rise in Autism. I tell every new mother I meet to get educated on immunizations, to request to see the packaging the vaccine came in, and to get one vaccine at a time. Some actually listen to me. Seems I read that most mercury was fazed out of vaccines, that right there is a blaring RED LIGHT that something wasn't right. I also read that there had been a decrease in Autism since they decreased the amount in vaccine. Once again, another governmental cover up.

My son is autistic and I can tell you without a doubt in my mind that his condition is not the result of mercury in vaccines. They don't even use mercury in these preservatives anymore. Studies have been done over and over and it has absolutely been proven that there is insufficient evidence of any correlation between the vaccines and autism. After my son's formal diagnosis, it was like a lightbulb moment all the way back to his birth. The difficulties we endure through the years finally made perfect sense. I think if people stopped looking at everyone else to find blame for their "imperfect" child, they'd have this clarity as well.

Interesting topic, did you know that the highest incidences of autism occur in areas where there are more techno-wizards (computer engineers)? It seems that the same characteristics that make someone really good with computers, when combined with the genes from someone similar cause an increase in the incidence of autistic children. There is definitely a genetic component to the issue, and I am not sure if mercury could be the cause. People with mercury fillings don't become autistic do they? I am not sure of the whole immunization thing.

There are no positive medical tests done to relate this with Autism! Look what is happening in Namibia today... A serious case of Polio broke lose because of not immunizing! The amount of mercury in the vaccines are so little that it really won't make a difference! This is just a sick roomer!!!!! It is crucial to vaccinate your child! If you don't your child will get sick and it will cost you a lot more to treat the illnesses.

Responding to a post by J I believe, they stated mercury is not in our childrens vaccines anymore. I think you need to look into this. Mercury is still being used!! Thimerosol is the preservative in the vaccinations and contains mercury. It is NOT in every vaccine, but is still widely used! You can see if it is in your children's shots by requesting the lot number and manufacturer of the shot before your child receives it.
One the other hand, my 5 1/2 year old is autistic. He was diagnosed back in August 2002. He received the flu shot and chicken pox shot, while his older brother by 15 months, did not receive these shots. Tell me again you don't think vaccines cause the disability!!

It is worthwhile to note that MOST vaccinations today contain NO thimerosol, yet autism is on the rise. It is growing today at a rate of 5-7%. Very scary. Anyone concerned about vaccinations and the role they may play in austism would be amiss not to look at the Wakefield studies in the UK. The link between MMR and austim have NOTHING to do with thimerosol, but with the actual measles antigen.

I work with children with autism, and I have 2 kids who never received the vaccines because their parents were afraid of autism because it ran in the family, so I guess that wasn't it for them. Thimerosal was removed from vaccines a few years ago and there were no declines in autism, despite what one person wrote above. Here in California 1 in every 166 children are diagnosed with autism and that is higher than a couple of years ago. I am much more worried about my chilld dying from a very preventible disease.

I think vacciness should be illegial! I wish I never did them with my kids so far, but then I had no clue, the doctors' kept saying that they need them. I'm praying that my huband would come to aggreement of not having them done anymore.
And yes, I believe they can be a cause of autism. The pharmeceutical companies are just making money off us getting the vax's for our kids and then the vax's break down the immune system and therefor more sicknesses and more medicine is needed. they make tons of $ off making us sick! It makes me so mad! Yes, I would love to contact our President, and such, but I did send an email once to the President and it was never regarded. =( I never did hear a reply.

i'm no longer confident the two way. There are compelling arguments on the two facets AND compelling info for the two facets. I definitely have chosen to get my babies vaccinated, despite if, at a slower %.. Vaccinations could make a baby sick although. My son exchange into vaccinated with the Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis... vaccine and he exchange into sick day after as we talk. i did no longer think of something of it till he broke out with a foul case of eczema. We introduced him to an allergist with the aid of fact it exchange into thought that it ought to be an hypersensitivity and the attempting out confirmed no hypersensitivity to nutrition or environment. a pair of week and a a million/2 later the eczema in basic terms cleared up with the aid of itself. I asked the allergist if some thing in the vaccination could have led to this and he mentioned surely. My son could have had a sensitivity to a minimum of a few thing in the shot itself that led to the outbreak of eczema.
