I'm not certain what the law is in your state but in California real property (meaning land) cannot be converted. Conversion is definitionally the wrongful exercise of dominion over the personal property of another. (Burlesci v. Peterson (1998) 68 Cal.App.4th 1062, 1066; Munger v. Moore (1970) 11 Cal.App.3d 1, 7.) Conversion may not be committed in relation to real property. (Munger v. Moore, supra.)

Conversion of land is the wrongful control over someone elses land. For example, someone forges a document in order to obtain your land.
