To have the ability to travel where you want, even if it is on foot. To have the chance to explore and meet people of this country. The excitement of where to sleep and eat the next day. When you think about it it would be kind of close to the life of a backpacker hicking the AT. Other then the lack of money, but that is where foraging for food, fishing, gathering could help. A life with no bills seems very intriguing to me. If you have ever read "A walk across America" by Peter Jenkins. or a "Call of the wild" you may know what I'm referring too.

Not all who wander are lost.

No because I se it as a very hard life and I would rather work for a while and then take a break with some money in my pocket so I don't have to seek handouts and soup kitchens. I think most of the people caught in that life are not there because they want to be; but there are exceptions.

Umm-Actually no! I don't think that many of them would say they enjoy being without a home. It gets awfully cold in the winter and miserably hot in the summer. There are, often, not enough beds in the shelters, therefore, many of the homeless get turned away when the conditions are extreme. These poor people do not lead a wonderful, carefree life. They suffer immensely and our government does virtually nothing to help them. It is a shame that we help people all over the world, yet, we have people starving right here in this country.

Being homeless is not as cool as it sounds. You can only travel so far on foot. No one is interested in meeting a homeless person. And not being able to find a good place to sleep and having nothing decent to eat sure sounds exciting.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but it's best to be grateful for everything, because it could go away in an instant.

If you like that kind of adventure, go camping. :)
