Same reason we have JUMBO shrimp and Military Intelligence.
No seriously, it's because these groups don't have a "Professional" in attendence to monitor their progress. They have only themselves to rely on. Thus SELF-HELP. Not Professional Help.

because these people need other people to help themselves realize others are needing a distraction while they get over the problem. and since they all distracting each other they know they all have done the exact same thing so with each day it should be easier to cope with the problem.
