I've never jumped or fallen off a roof, but yes, I'm sure that it would hurt. If you survived.

How high of a roof are you talking? Ive jumped of a garage roof, and a two story stair case, and it didnt hurt, but I suppose jumping off of anything higher may

I jumped off of the banister of a second story balcony twice. It didn't necessarily hurt, but I could keep the landing on my feet. The force of the fall pushed me to the ground. I'd suggest hitting the ground with your knees slightly bent and then rolling. That's how you land when parachuting for the Army. To much impact like that and you will get bad knees if you don't break anything first.

No, but, you're cerain to break an ankle or leg doing it! I knew someone who jumped off of a deck, about 10-12' from the ground, and DID just THAT!!

not jumped, but fell 32 feet, broke both legs, left one compound tib/fib. Got 2 plates and 10 pins holding it together. And hurt? Like a sonofa@#$%, and to make it worse, 6 years later it still hurts, everyday, so personally I would not recommend it.

When I was younger ,,,,, in my teens I used to jump from the roof occasionally .... it was about 10 ft ..... Maybe that is why I have spinal problems now !!!! discogenic disk disease and narrowing of the spinal canal .... very nasty and painful I would recommend using the ladder unless your life depended on it ..

not a roof, but I remember jumping from a distance when I was a kid, and yes it hurts real bad.
