I too am feeling mixed emotions. I love teaching, but you really get used to sooo much time off, it is hard to go back. Imagine how the kids feel! It's a great profession to be in for the reason we do get so much time off and paid throughout that time. Our governor is giving us a $100 gift card (all teachers in Georgia) to spend on our classrooms, so I am excited to shop for stuff and get back to it!

I'm still in college and I am going to be a Spanish teacher. hopefully my first year at it won't be too bad so taht i'll go back the next year I'm really excited about it. I had a little spanish class I taught last school year just 3 days a week and I really enjoyed it. It was kind of like a puzzle for me seeing what worked and what didn't. what I did wrong and what i did right. i just hope you don't have middleschool good luck

I go back a week from tomorrow :(! Yes, it makes me want to cry. But this doesn't mean I don't like my job. I love my job! I just love sleeping in and spending all of my time with my daughters more! I don't know about you, after the first week or so, school is just great!

I don't want to cry. I like teaching, and I like the idea of going back to work. What I will miss is the flexibility in my schedule. Once school starts, I will start dancing with the bells once again.

I hear ya, sister. The free time this summer has been wonderful, but I firmly believe that we are in one of the only professions that REQUIRE a lengthy summer break to ensure that we will return to our teaching jobs in August rested, relaxed, and with a fresh outlook. I couldn't imagine doing my job without a "time out" period to regenerate myself and my attitude, could you? Best wishes for a great school year, and enjoy those last couple of weeks.

Lazy Mornings, friend filled days, and very late nights....oh how I will miss the days of summer, but I am eagerly anticipating my first look at all my brand new kindergartners...and my opportunity to introduce them to the wonderful world of school. Have a great year everyone!
